About PLOW

Public Library on Wheels (PLOW) is a literacy initiative of the Stratford Public Library that addresses the low literacy level in children throughout Stratford and area.  Specifically, it delivers preschool & toddler reading programs, age appropriate lending collections, and knowledgeable support staff to local communities currently underserviced by traditional library facilities.

Current Programs

Beat the Heat
1:30pm-2pm | all ages
@ Stratford Lions Pool, 15 William St.
Join us for stories and songs at the Lions Pool followed by a free swim for participating children. Thank you Lions Pool!

Acorns and Oak Trees
Thursday mornings 10-11am | all ages
@ Chartwell Anne Hathaway Retirement Residence, 439 Downie St.and Franklin Drive
Join PLOW for this fun, intergenerational story time; enjoy books, puppets, literacy activities and crafts. 

Summer Day Camp
Thursday Afternoons | July 7 - August 11
Literacy activities, songs, stories and a lending opportunity for participants of the Franklin Drive Summer Day Camp Program.                                  

Parents & Tots Program
@ Avon Mennonite Church
Avon Mennonite Church, Stratford (90 Greenwood Drive, Stratford). Wednesday 10-11:30am - June 29.  Families join in the fun of playing, singing, reading, and learning together.  Free drop in program.
