Have you been thinking about volunteering?
We invite you to share your time and talents with the Stratford Public Library in one or more of our rewarding volunteer opportunities. In 2009, library volunteers contributed over 2,100 hours in a variety of in-library duties and outreach programs.
By contributing a few hours of your time, you, too, can support the Library’s commitment to providing excellent services to our community. In fact, on average, each of our volunteers contributes approximately 2 hours per week.
Volunteer duties @ the library include:
In-Library Regular (duties occurring daily or weekly):
- library collection maintenance, including:
- shelf-reading;
- book mending
- administrative support, including:
- date card stamping;
- community bulletin board maintenance;
- folding brochures;

- custodial support, including:
- sorting/distributing recyclable materials;
