About the Friends

The Friends of the Stratford Public Library was formed in 1996. It is a group of concerned citizens who love their library. In these days of reduced funding, the Friends organization is helping the library through community events and fundraising projects.

We have an active Board of Directors who meet at the Library every month September to June at 7pm. All members of the Friends of the Library are welcome to attend our meetings.

By becoming a member of the Friends you show that you care about your Library and support its role in the community and the valuable services which it provides. It is also an opportunity for you to get involved in your community.

Magazine Sponsorship Program

For more information contact: Ann Devereux at splfriends@pcin.on.ca.

Give something back to the library by donating the cost of a subscription to your favourite magazine. This will allow the library to continue getting this magazine and you and others can continue to enjoy it.

How it works:  Choose a magazine from the list of magazines.  Write a cheque to The Friends of the Library and leave it at the Circulation Desk.  Your name, or the name of your business, will appear on the cover of subsequent issues of your chosen magazine acknowledging your contribution.

Tax receipts are available.

Give back to your library by adopting one of these great periodicals!
