The Canadian Theatre Record
Here you'll find contemporary Canadian theatre information and materials from the 1960's and onwards.  This site has been produced and compiled by the Toronto Public Library. 

Canadian Adaptations of Shakespeare
CASP is devoted to the exploration and documentation of the ways in which Shakespeare has been adapted into a national, multicultural theatrical practice. You will find a wealth of resources related to how Shakespeare has been adapted into (and out of) Canadian theatre.

Playwright's Guild of Canada
Playwrights Guild of Canada (formerly Playwrights Union of Canada) is a national association of professional and emerging playwrights. Established in 1972 as the Playwrights Co-op, their main purpose was to publish and distribute scripts to encourage more productions of Canadian plays. Provides programs and services that support, promote, and advocate for over 500 members.
The Theatre Listing
It contains comprehensive information on theatre companies, performance facilities and related arts organizations across Canada, and is an essential reference for producers, playwrights, actors, students and theatre professionals. (pdf document)

Literature Resource Centre  
Provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. Also includes Shakespearean Criticism - full text and searchable!  All you need is a SPL library card.

Professional Association of Canadian TheatresPACT is a member-driven organization that serves as the collective voice of professional Canadian theatres. For the betterment of Canadian theatre, PACT provides leadership, national representation and a variety of programs and practical assistance to member companies, enabling members to do their own creative work.
